I am a freelance artist. My contact email is sukhiart@yahoo.com I do commissions and I sell my work on eBay. I'm always creating things which I will share on here. I am primarily a painter, I paint mainly in oils, and as for subject I tend not to restrict myself. I also venture down the decorative arts, crafts, and jewellery route and I get so much enjoyment out of letting my imagination run free. This blog will showcase my work.

Cartouche
Brief From Client:Create a cartouche of the image named 'Cottage'. Image to be used on stationary and writing paper by client. Image required to be done in black or grey pen and ink. Also requested to keep the image very simple and not have too much detail so when it is shrunk to a minimum of 2 inches x 2 inches it doesn't appear distorted or messy looking whilst still retaining a distinct individual and identifiable look.

A Positive In A Negative- Submission For The Royal Academy 2016
Title: A Positive In A Negative
Medium: Oils On Canvas
Size: 16 inches x 20 inches approx
I've done a painting of the Palladian Bridge across the River Nadder, at Wilton House. It was based on the unexecuted design of Italian Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio for the Rialto Bridge in Venice, and combines the bridge with aspects of classical Roman temple design.
My painting is a portrayal of how something of such architectural beauty and essentially a positive image can also be viewed as a negative in one glance. I feel the image has a haunting and somber quality to it which is achieved by painting this image in a photo negative design. Playing literally on the word 'Negative' in the title.
